2021 is flying by, and it is showing no sign of slowing down! The temperatures are falling, the leaves are starting to change, and the holidays are just around the corner. If you’ve been thinking about getting some family photos done before the end of the year, you’ll be excited to learn about our Christmas Tree Farm minis.

It is by far the most popular mini session that we offer as a Wausau family photographer, and it is one of my favorites to shoot. This year, we are once again happy to be photographing the minis at Newby’s Tree Farm. With all of the gorgeous Christmas Trees, the location is a prime spot for holiday photos in Wausau. However, you’ll want to act fast because we are limited to just two days of mini sessions this year.

Perfect Timing for Christmas Card Photos

Why is it so important that you get your Christmas Tree Farm minis done early? For three reasons: it gives me time to edit, you’ll be able to order Christmas cards, and you’ll get to work your photos in around deer season!

I take pride in providing full, edited galleries as soon as possible, but fall is one of my busy seasons. By signing up for the November minis, I have plenty of time to get your photos edited

If you plan on printing out your photos for your family Christmas card, you’ll want to get them ordered sooner rather than later so that can send them out in time for the holidays.

Lastly, my family knows firsthand how important hunting is to Wausau families, so I specifically schedule the dates around deer season.

 

Getting in the Holiday Spirit with Your Family

Over the past eight years, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to make memories with so many kind-hearted families. I love capturing the laughs and precious moments. These mini sessions are a great way to get in the holiday spirit and spend time together. They might be an opportunity to take family photos for the first time, or you can use them for a special occasion like a pregnancy announcement!

Best of all, these sessions are short and sweet, so they are the ideal length of time for children and cold weather. Though they go by quickly, I still make sure to get full group shots, individuals, parents, and siblings. Dogs are also welcome, so feel free to bring your furry friend.

Preparing for the Unpredictable Wausau Weather

At Brittney E Photography, we have been doing Christmas Tree Farm minis at Newby’s Tree Farm for the last seven years! Mother nature has blessed us with beautiful 70-degree weather in the past. However, we’ve also had a beautiful blanket of snow some years.

Unfortunately, that’s the nature of Wausau family photography this time of year, but it’s always fun—no matter the weather! In fact, some of my favorite photos have come from years where families get all bundled up.
